Then I guess you don't have a thing to worry about. Here are a few more things to not worry about:

A white paper with benchmarks showing the real world advantages of VC DRAM. VC133 improves the performance of a CPU (they tested both Intel and AMD cpus) 20% to 70% depending on the application. VC100 improves performance by 5% to 30%

Now take a look at:

for the specs of the next shipping chipset for the Athlon. Samples this month, production for the fall.

You know that 5% to 50% performance margin the Athlon core has over the Pentium III/coppermine core? (at the same clock). Unless rambus does an awful lot for the pentium core, the difference is going to be getting bigger. And VC adds 3% to the cost of the memory, and uses less power and generates less heat than conventional PC100. While using the same production and testing equipment.

But VIA chipset boards aren't shipping for awhile, so I guess you haven't a thing to worry about, right?

No wonder why Intel is suing VIA to keep them from shipping the PC133 / VC133 chipsets. Kind of reminds me of Apple's desperate "look and feel" lawsuit against Microsoft when Apple realized it couldn't compete in the marketplace. :-)
