Ken,

You should fear a state of national emergency than myself.

Because they will be looking for hoarders like yourself... I'm sure a black helicopter will be set aside just for you....:0)

But in all seriousness, if it happens, it happens.

Those who have dealt with a hurricane have dealt with National Guard troops around patrolling against looters, and were likely damn happy to have them on hand.

As for questioning whatever time frame I have chosen, what does it really matter?

At least I'm offering a time frame. You offer NOTHING.

All you do is try your best to strip everyone's belief in their "world" away without offering documentable evidence to substantiate it. Nothing.. NADA. All you provide is supposition and innuendo. Information that has just as much potential for inaccuracy and spin-meistering as anything the govt may put out.

Did you ever thing that reporters are "told" how to "spin it" in order to derive the most attention to their articles?? Modern news is driven by the almighty dollar, Ken. What sells advertising is what gets reported. You should know that.

As for gov't not caring, I think you're totally off the mark.

Gov't is the people. The people who work in those offices are taxpayers like you and I. It's a REAL DISGRACE when people like yourself continually ignore the human beings WHO ARE THE GOVT.

If Clinton was all powerful, then why hasn't he called for martial law already? After all, it's just a matter of declaring it, right??

Not a chance. There are too many political and monied interests in this nation in complete opposition with one another to permit anyone to have authoritarian rulership over the country. And if it did occur, it would last only has long as absolutely necessary, with people griping and moaning about it each and every day unless it was rescinded.

I'm surprised you haven't studied the American political system as closely has you claim to have studied Y2K.

If you had, you'd realize that.
