The company is worthless. They basically pump the stock by hiring some touts to start spreading some buzz, then they follow it up with one or two press releases of new "licensees". This cycle has been repeated on a nearly yearly basis since 1986 (the company is about 35 years old and went public in '86). The shills then get hysterical with the announcement of the new licensees and threaten short-squeezes and billions of dollars rolling in for the lucky shareholders. Management then flips some warrants and gets enough cash to support their little play-company for another year. This farce has been going on so long that one of the execs, Robert Thompson, has already died and Robert Saxe (the founder) is just about at retirement age.

REFR is in the same category as companies such as ALTIF. What's really beautiful about the stock is that it's easy to borrow and the dilution rate vs. the ability of the company to attract new victims is still not too extreme....so you can safely add to your short postion on any runups and simply sit on the position forever. It will eventually do a Copytele (COPY).
