nuke44, I wasn't aware of the fact that convicted felons could serve in most elected positions. And I don't like to be cynical, but it seems in the last few years a lot of lawyers have gone to the highest bidder, (OJ comes to mind).

Drafting candidates in consideration for political office reminds me that many people would have liked to draft Colin Powell for president, but he wanted no part of it. He's probably too decent to be a politician.

As for women serving in the military, I have no problem with that at all. Especially since my mother was in the "Women's Army Corps" in WW2, and met my father because he was also in the Army. So if my mother hadn't been a WAC, I wouldn't be here!
