"If the only people who were allowed to express themselves with confidence were the ones who considered themselves knowledgeable, it would be a limited and limiting conversation!"

I have long been of the opinion that the LAST people in the world who should be allowed to review movies are movie reviewers. And you can substitute "movies" for any other art form.

IMHO there are two "areas" for want of a better term which overlap a lot, but not completely: Art and Entertainment. There is (usually) some of each in both.

Professional reviewers view entertainment professionally, that is, not like normal humans who view entertainment for entertainment. They are paid to look for art.

Knowing that this is a generalization and there are exceptions, I will state the following: Reviewers are generally wrong about whether or not movies will be popular. That's because they look for art and miss entertainment.

There's more, but I have work to do.

p.s. "...SHE WILL UZIFY ANYONE WHO GETS SNOTTY HERE."

I agree with the sentiment. The use of the term "uzify" is unnecessary and offensive. I still love all of you, DAR and you Rambi, but I do feel that strongly about it.
