Len: It's just that conceptual difference that prompted my question. Not trying to put you on the spot, but the distinction between primates and royalty is not one of growth rate, which I do indeed agree NTAP seems to provide. I own NTAP, but because I do not think it a gorilla candidate, I think it's "position" as a future king is ever in jeoparody(sp).

So, back to the question, do you see NTAP's software model as unassailable? Anybody could use off the shelf hardware, as the company has proven....so the question revolves around the software. Has NTAP just gotten there first, or do they really have something that cannot be easily matched?

DS: Can you speak to this as well?

Overall, I have begun to think that "memory" as an investment category is going to pay off big time....so I not only include EMC of course, but also SNDK and SSTI. Another category I feel is headed for the big show is fiber, JDSU, PMCS, PHCM....and just maybe this new little outfit LUMM (so new it doesn't even have a thread!).
