Frank,
My office is near the problem site and I have had many problems with Wcom this year. It seems every time they buy or merge with another company, they lose control. They were adding a bank in my building around the time my service went dead. Trying to deal with no phones, faxes, and a relying on their help was a night mare. It ended up being that Ameritech owns the lines and Wcom now rents them from them, so from what I could gather talking with the line man trying to reconnect my business was that this is a common event over control. Wcom did compensate me.
Jack
