As I said - it is an EXTREMELY long stretch of the imagination. Imagination is the key word. If your imagination can't take you there, then you probably have a healthy imagination. Quit looking for an explanation - there isn't one (at least I don't have one).
Let's turn it into wishful thinking. The wishful thinking would be that Network Computing took over and CTXS became the nearly sole provider of the framework and the applications. That would be good. I'd be rich, you'd be rich, everyone at CTXS would be rich.
Then the DOJ would be angry because they bought MSFT stock about the time Network Computing came into vogue. I wouldn't claim to believe that there is intelligent life in the Justice Department. For that matter, I'm so jaded that I wouldn't claim to believe that there is intelligent life in the Government.
But those bozos sure don't like it when someone tells them they're all screwed up. They just don't like to face facts.
And, if all of wild imaginations came about, the Justice department would go after somebody who succeeded at doing something well. Of course, the wild imaginations were about CTXS, so guess who would be the natural target. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it one way or the other.
It would, however, be my sincere hope that someday we get some intelligent life in the government. Now - that's really a stretch.
So, if you don't get it, you're healthy. I wish I could say the same for the government.
