Carl, I have no basis for argument with you. I am only passing along what my brother told me. Did they actually say?

while they had made estimates, they really had only done it for the last year by stealing from the backlog, and that now that the backlog was gone, this year they would focus on rebuilding the backlog, and would thus be reporting lower sales.

Also, do you know if they made the revenue recognition change? This makes more sense than "stealing from the backlog." Backlog only exists because

1) The customer isn't ready for it.
2) The company is capacity constrained and can't ship it.

If (1) is true they can't ship it without possible going to jail. Shipped not billed in a public company is not smiled upon.

(2) doesn't usually happen in a software company.
