Well... I have a theory about that. This is jmo, I have no proof to back it up or anything, but I think the govt "looks the other way" when it comes to the border patrols because the Ca economy needs these very low salaried workers for the farming industry and textiles etc. I really believe that a lot of the clothing mfg's in SF are staffed with illegals (from asia)... they work in these sweat shops, its pretty obvious, everyone who goes outlet shopping even once knows where they are and yet the INS never does anything.
