The average trade shares size <250 does not indicate anything. Ever since the SEC reduced mms minimum exposure to 100 shares instead of 1000, mms have been mostly displaying size 1 and 2, hiding their actual intents. Also, various hedge funds and mutual funds have instructed their mms to break their large buy orders into small pieces so as not to drive up the price too quickly as they accumulate. If you play poker, would you show your whole hand all at once?
