Paul and all. Check out the post on the AMD thread that talks about slow adoption of the Athlon due to processor availability problems and chip set/motherboard problems. Kind of begins to explain the strange lack of enthusiasm (and availability) of Athlon-based systems. Kind of takes the bloom off those who think there is gonna be a nearterm flood of Athlon-based servers. In my view reasonably normal problems for chip introduction with a fresh architecture and fresh infrastructure intro - except that AMD is in a world of hurt financially and this doesn't help. Should be a remarkably upbeat AMD quarterly report though. Look for the word "unanticipated" at least 5 times during the conference call. And it won't be unanticipated profits. Burt
