honor, every takeover i have been in is halted, then the news comes out, then it opens near, but not at, the takeover price... of course it might trade up on rumors before the deal actually announced, but i have not seen one be announced without a halt, unless it is after hours, then it would just open in the morning near the takeover price... tim probably can answer better than i can... kathy :)
