<<The down town of the city I live next to is basically a shadow of it's former self. It is a has been...forgotten. The interesting thing is that in this relec there are now antique stores and a real book store (not a chain) and a micro brewery. Interesting little places popping up.>> Same where I live. People no longer go downtown to shop for clothes, furniture or hardware (bolts and nails). Lots of coffee shops, trendy mini businesses, 2 micro breweries, theme bars (2 of which are uh, alternate life style places) and law offices out the ying yang.
