Well I think I have heard what the deal is with Gateway (and possibly Dell) and the Athlon. Intel is literally GIVING Gateway free celerons on the conditions that they purchase x number of PII/PIII's and DO NOT sell Athlon Systems.

That's a little disturbing to me, and it should a little disturbing to you too. Celeron's are now like those toys you get in your happy meal at McDonalds.. FREE!.

PS. I realize that they aren't FREE per say, and that Intel can take the cost out of the profit margin on the PII/PIII's they sell Gateway/Dell, but it will hurt overall margins.
