SportsPrize Files to Become a Reporting Issuer
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- SportsPrize Entertainment Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: JOCK - news; ``SportsPrize') announced today that it has filed a Form 10
registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (``SEC') pursuant to Section 12(g) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, to become a
reporting issuer.
The registration statement, filed August 13, was filed in order to qualify SportsPrize's common stock for continued eligibility for quotation on the National Association of
Securities Dealers (``NASD') OTC Bulletin Board (``OTCBB'). Under the NASD rules, SportsPrize's common stock will be ineligible for quotation on the OTCBB effective
on January 3, 2000, unless the registration statement is effective and the SEC has advised the Company that it has no further comments with respect to the registration statement.
The Company also announced today that it will utilise California-based Frontier GlobalCenter's (NYSE: FRO - news) Digital Distribution Architecture to host its Web site
SportsPrize.com and deliver its Web content to its online audience. The Company will install high-speed servers and software system at Frontier GlobalCenter's Media
Distribution Centers (MDCs). Sun Microsystems, a leading provider of innovative, scalable end-to-end Internet solutions, has been chosen to provide the hardware solution.
Industry-leading Sun E250 and E450 servers, unmatched in their capacity for large-scale and mission-critical applications, will support the data warehousing and e-commerce
applications intrinsic to the SportsPrize model.
