In this sector, to measure growth, I look at sales, not income. Companies can easily grow earnings by cutting costs dramatically, which hinders long-term growth prospects.

So, here's my analysis of IFCI (based on Yahoo's latest financials comparing quarter ended 6/30/99 with quarter ending 6/30/98.
Diluted shares rose from 26821998 to 29730582. So, based on that 10.844% increase in shares, net SALES would have needed to increase from 24395919 to 29730582 just to match the previous year's performance. But actual SALES for quarter were 40740191, which is an increase of 37% over last year's SALES with share outstanding adjustment.

37% top line growth before the benefit of the largest contract win in the company's history (by far) seems pretty good to me.
I'm not a cheerleader (see my previous posts), but I like IFCI's growth prospects.
