I had as application in to become an astronaut for many years..pre Challenger disaster that is then changed my mind.....need connections to get in anyway....Blue didn't know you were so into Nasa.....you'd love living where I do for that....there is a launch tonight about midnight which I can watch from my living room window......if any of you guys ever get out this way I can get you a pass to be as close as one can be....I went up for a few prior to the big accident when you could be within a mile...now they changed it to about two miles....the best launch was Sally Ride...all these people were t here for first women in space...like feminists and Jane Fonda and then there was me well I had this t shirt on that said Smith College 1887- 1987...1oo years of women on top ...well I got alot of press takeing pictures of that......the launches are lie this....first the engine lights ignite, then the sound follows several seconds later and finally the ground shakes and I mean really shakes...you could n't imagine it unless you were there...its like you just saw a Marsian ship takeoff...it is really hard to believe humans figured out to do this even though you've seen it a million times on TV
