I've sent numerous e-mails to WAVO asking why they were not pushing their VBI technology for enhanced TV instead of concentrating on WaveTop, which has been a complete bust. They never answered. (Note: As far as I know, Wink and Liberate are still promoting enhanced TV using the VBI). Could it be that the company knew that VBI had no long-term prospects for enhanced TV? If so, why didn't they just let us know? Meanwhile, they're still pushing VBI, but also IP multicast and set-top box opportunities for Jamcast, the successor to WaveTop. I hope the company knows what it's doing. If not, the Intel announcement will kill WAVO.
