*Motorola vs Q!* Motorola could lose out big time here! Suppose a judge says the relationship is too fragmented and like Humpty Dumpty can't be put back together. Then, the judge could set aside the agreement which was presumably a balanced one with equal benefit.

If set aside, Q! wouldn't be able to use Motorola patents, so would have to stop selling handsets, [maybe], but they'd get heaps of royalties from others, and could still sell the ASICs [I suppose]. Motorola would be left right out. That is a much bigger "Oh dear!" for Motorola than for Q! Maybe Motorola is unwise to walk away from the marriage.

That seems to be the message that Mighty Q! is sending the battered but still belligerent Motorola. What with analog down the drain, Iridium a wreck, CDMA still not working right [with their own chips], Motorola is looking ragged.
