I would think that the police would want to know, but don't know whether the information has been passed on to them or not. But I would guess not, as if the police knew, wouldn't somebody have gone to the tabloids with it? -- "Desperate Murderer/Suicide First Tries To Sell His Own Kidney To Pay Debts, Result is Jeers and Taunts." That's how the 'bloids would feature it, assuming, as I have been told is the case, there is not more than one deranged Mark Barton desperate from stock market losses.
