SRU - VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 16, 1999-- Starfield Resources Inc. ("Starfield") commenced the summer drilling program at the Ferguson Lake, Nunavut, Canada property on August 12, 1999. The first hole (#99-06) of the current program was completed August 15th and intersected the targeted anomaly from a depth of 86 meters to a depth of 96 meters for a total interval of 10 meters. Hole #99-06 is located 1.5 kilometers east of Holes 99-01 and 99-05 which Starfield completed during the Spring, 1999 program. Drill holes #99-01 and #99-05 (on the same section) were situated on the same geophysical and geological target as is currently being tested.
