Besides, your take of the Gateway deal does not make sense logically. Why would Gateway lock themselves into one chip company, knowing that its competitor is coming out with a faster chip. To date, Dell has not made such a commitment even though they are one of intc's best customers.....and I would have expected them to do so before Gateway. Even with AMD's past performance record, I would be surprised if Gateway made such a commitment to intc without getting something in return. JMHO. ted
