I do think we're now on the same page re: NTAP royalty status, and yes, EMC is royalty as well. It's a little off topic, but some have observed that EMC+DG is (could become) a threat to NTAP. But I wonder...Compaq + Digital certainly hasn't harmed anyone, unless you include Compaq. DG was struggling to begin with. It might have been a quick way to hire more engineering talent and not much more.

IMO, it'll be a while, 12-18 months before any impact on NTAP is felt.

Also OT: You observe QCOM will be a home run in two years. Does that mean four bases only, or something better? If only four, there may be better alternatives than the Q.
