ON the Syquest EZFlyer. The jaz will come down to it's price in the future and the zip will come up in speed and capacity. I would not want to be Syquest. According to Dugasarc@aol.com, the upcoming 200 meg zip will most likely be at least 30% faster than the 100 meg zip.

In general, what I see as the stock situation is this: good news came out but followed by negative articles. If it had been bad news and good articles that would be much worse. Anyway, I bought Aug 50 calls on Thursday and Friday. In my opinion, when the secondary jitters are behind us, the stock will go up. Also, I expect news at the computer show starting Monday, and others.

According to Rich Becks:

>><<< The company shipped 1.5 million of the Zip drives so far and could have 8 million delivered by the end of the year, said Rich Becks, a manager at Iomega who signs up PC makers to offer them as standard equipment. >>>

I've seen estimates of 1.7 billion based on this information and the tie rate of 20+ for some corporations.

The downside: some very good competition might be unveiled. Unlikely with the patent protection and being late; just something to consider.
