I thought that too James (regarding jnpr/rbak/cmtn, etc. options) but remember priceline has had options availability for a while and that one IPO'd in April. I think it was only 2 mos after IPO that pcln had options availability, so it just depends on the size of the name... hlth and vert were kind of also-rans, whereas jnpr is a leader - hopefully it won't be too long. Michelle, The deciding factor is the liquisity of the stock. The AMEX, CBOE and the Pacific exchange do not want to bother with options on a non liquid stock. PCLN had lots of volume early so options were available early. Glenn
