Favors analysis is based on the assumption that the '98 break was a full-fledged bear market and that a new bull market started at the october low. he then goes on to extrapolate the average duration and size of a bull market cycle beginning from that low, adjusting the detailed forecasts about near term moves in accordance with his other indicators. whatever one may think of him, he has caught every major turn in the market so far this year, sometimes with uncanny accuracy, sort of like the exact opposite of Acampora. of course even he will be wrong at some point, but his calls so far this year have been great. hb
