Art, the US$ is a legal monopoly for transactions in the USA - not as a currency for international transactions where competition is free and competitive. I mean encrypted Q currency for transactions within the USA or anywhere as the currency of the future.

What monopoly does Microsoft have? Sure it has the transient monopoly which all businesses enjoy such as their product being a bit better than somebody elses, available at a more convenient location, or a better bet for the future or whatever. But people seem quite emotional as though they are held in bondage by some Pharoah, slave driver or dictator, which is obviously not true. $ill's customers all have choice = buy or don't buy. Pretty simple really.

I'm now convinced that since the depths of this antimonopoly fanaticism seems so ingrained in people, that Qualcomm will has seriously limited potential. Even investors in SI where you'd think there would be a broader point of view and generalized understanding of capitalism, private property, profit and civilization are against Microsoft's achievements and profit. It's fascinating! Though not really surprising.

Maybe what Microsoft did was illegal. The definition of what is illegal is what a judge decides is illegal. That doesn't make Microsoft wrong. I think more likely the law is absurd. It is apparently illegal for Microsoft to tell Dell that they can't buy other products if they want to buy Microsoft products. Seems crazy to me. I prefer the idea that one can sell or not sell to anyone you feel like selling or not selling to.
