Yes, there are many questions, but what do you think the chances are the company will bother to make some clarifying statements? Don't hold your breath. There is no way the FDA, even assuming that it had the sensitive ego posited by some, could object to the release of deaths in treatment arm vs. deaths in placebo arm. Whether those figures are good or not, we are entitled to know them. The more I think about this the worse it gets.
