I am not so sure abut Keith Dunne comments. I have been picking up JBL in high 30s and low fortys and Keith Indicated a good buy at these prices. Also he said that solectron is "a good company but not necessarily a good investment due to the high price. Here is an excerpt from MSN:

Indeed, Dunne prefers steering investors toward SCI Systems because it was recently trading at 16 times his calendar year 2000 earnings estimates, compared with Solectron trading at 35 times estimated calendar 2000 earnings. He believes SCI is fast improving and may gain the same type of revenue and share momentum that Solectron has enjoyed recently. He makes a careful distinction between what he calls a great company and a great investment. He says Solectron "has been and will continue to be a solid investment," but for investors looking for where they can make more money between now and year-end, "We think that's SCI."

Estimates for SLR and JBL are the about the same and look at price differential. I am not saying that JBL should sell for SLR multiple, SLR is too high IMO. But JBL is the buy in ECM right now IMO and also BHE if they put together AVEX deal like they did one in 1997.But info is sketchy here since AVEX is a private company.
