Ah yes-- and our formal living room has the grand piano, but also guitars and stereo and it used to have the drum set but that's in the pool house now. We called it, rather affectedly, the music room.
The dining room, which by the way is still where it's supposed to be, has no use at all except as the occasional hiding place for dying mice and birds.
