Am I wrong or did the press release also state that Targretin has been designated for priority review? What basis does the FDA generally use for such decisions? After all, it does commit them to move rather quickly. Moreover, I'm wondering about Elan. I thought their management track record was pretty good. And they've invested heavily in this one. So heavily that unless they stock appreciates significantly and fast, they would seem to be loosing a lot of money. I wonder if they're going to exercise the buyout clause and tender for the entire company soon. One also needs to bear in mind that although we've seen a lot of sellers today, we've also seen a lot of buyers. Someone must have shelled out some pretty big bills to buy the stock and given the volume, I sincerely doubt we are talking about small investors on the buy side. I would love to see what is really being done behind the scenes. There's been a lot of small sales, but it is not at all clear that they all went to small buyers. Yes, I've lost a lot of money today; c'est la vie. I could have bought a very nice Mercedes for that money. But I wasn't planning on doing that anyway so I'm going to wait and see. I personally do not care to sell on a day like this; all that blood makes the pavement too slippery so I'm going to stand back and see what happens. Cheers, Torben
