Yippie! I hope Samsung's cells are real and they sell boatloads of 'em.

That could only advance LiPoly adoption which would help Valence.

We NEED competition.

Valence's success DEPENDS on competition.

Competition is REAL LIFE.

Even BETTER that they spec a cell identical to Valence's ... effectively second sourcing each other ... very positive for adoption.

Lev beat the production stake into the ground in the last CC ... the story here is no longer about production.

Multiple suppliers -> OEM awareness -> trials -> unit performance + quality + sourcing -> negotiation -> design wins -> production management + QC -> increasing economies -> etc, etc. Key factors now are QC, quality relationships, costing, and simple production management (later).

However you work the success digraph, the appearance of another supplier is a beneficial precondition. And if Samsung is present as a Valence licensee, well, that's simply heaven. If they have their own cells, then welcome them to the party anyway ... and reality check their future against Valence's patent library ... if they're not a licensee now, they might well be in the future.

Competition (if indeed that's what this is) is great ... a factual harbinger of success.
