Dan, I doubt that DRDRAM will have a price premium of $100 over SDRAM by the time Timna is released. PC100 SDRAM costs $50 to $70 right now for 64 MB, depending on the vendor and the brand name. No one, especially Intel, is stupid enough to support DRDRAM in the low-end if the price premium is that high.

I'm hoping that the price premium will by $25 by the time Timna is released. That will make DRDRAM a much more viable alternative to PC100 SDRAM (which itself should go down to $40 by that time). Then the price gap will narrow as DRDRAM production continues to ramp up.
