OT.

There's not really space on this thread to deal with such problems, but a couple things would be worth trying.

If you know someone who uses a standard ISP (one that uses the built-in dialing software), you could try dialing into that service. If similar problems don't happen with a real ISP, then that would help you determine if the problem is with AOL's software.

You might also try downloading and reinstalling a new copy of the same browser version that you have loaded already. You might even have another copy on one of the other CDs that came with your machine.

Just a couple spots to look at.... (and I'll go back to trying to load drivers for my soundcard... sigh.)
