Here is an update on semiconductor equipment valuations,
based on today's closing prices and today's AMAT report.
The First Call consensus numbers are the ones published by
Baseline Financial Services on E*Trade in the last few days.
For current P/E, I annualized the most recent quarterly
earnings (i.e., times four). Since we are coming off of a
deep slowdown, I think this gives a better snapshot of where
we are at the present time than using the last four quarters'
earnings. For the forecast earnings, I used whatever
forecast was the farthest in the future, since Wall Street
seems to trade based on that.
