Don't be dropping the bar now.<vbg> marketcenter.com I always thought you were talking about two very different degrees of difficulty with 320MMB and 135-150 rigs working in the gulf, or in diving parlance, one is a belly flop and the other is a quadruple backflip with a twist.<vbg> You say rigs working so I assume you are referring to the BHI counts (101 -4) rather than the ODS rigs under contract (120 +1). Da Dawg sez the industry watches ODS but I agree with you that the street probably watches BHI closer. I would love to see the gap between the two counts widen with contracts doing better since it could be an early warning of better times ahead. It looks like getting the BHI to 135 could be a long wait and I just think the street will have long anticipated it by the time it is reality. JMO. Still see the drilling bidness not improving much before mid-2000? John
