As of yesterday, I recieved a call from Erik, (president of MDCE). He is confident that his company and media concepts will become a strong company quickly. The reason there has been no news out, is due to the fact they had to clean up MDCE, (lawsuits, etc) and begin building the company. They want to do things right and don't want alot of information floating around about projects they are working on, that may or may not come to light. They know the shareholders have been promised a lot in the past and nothing ever became of it. Erik wants to release news with dates when things will be completed or is sure that such projects will come together. I asked when will news be out, he said soon. THey are working on some exciting projects and once all the details are known there will be news. The news is expected to come out consistently once the flow of news starts.
I asked about the shares outstanding, he believes there are about 27M O/S he is not sure of the float (thats a Gerry Berg question).
I believe there are still about 8M in the float as thats what we had before the merger and from what I knew any new shares are 144 shares.
I asked about what assets were still in MDCE, he said the film library and Taylor Caldwell. There are alot of good things in the library, stock footage, movies, Christian films etc.
There was some question about whether DFNL got anything out of MDCE for the settlement, there was a share transfer, details will be out in a PR soon.
I asked about fully reporting, they are working on that. Audited
financials coming soon.
I asked about Mind Ware, he said that is a David Garcia Project, if they can make $$$ from it they will move forward with it.
THe 9th bullet is still on the stove, but nothing more has been done. THey have more interesting things to bring out. Erik doesn't feel a documentary will do much for the company/stock right now.
Will there be a reverse split? We all know how much we hate those. This option has been discussed. He says is he can't say yes or no.
Will a PR firm be contracted? THere are several they are looking into, this is likely.
There will also be an investor relations section added to a website.
Are there other mergers being looked into? He says no to this one.
I asked about the 6M preferred shares, that was something previous
management was doing, nothing will become of it. But thats still a question for Gerry Berg.
Thats pretty much it for the questions that we had sent in.
Gerry Berg is on vacation, he will be back next monday (aug 23). Sounds like the long wait for this company to do something is about over. Erik sounds like he knows his "stuff" and the people working for us do as well. Right now they are working on projects that they can put a small amount of $$ into and get the largest return. They want the stock price to move up quickly and have the news to keep it there and move up from there.
