Ah- <What material fact was provided by Jermo which wasn't already available?> He stated that Armstrong was present through all the meetings and the acquisition of Excite and that it had his approval and the relationship with T was rock solid. Also that they are very positive about Excite and what they are doing with it. Seems the rumor mill states that T hates Excite. Does this statement not lay this to rest, IF we believe him? Is it horse feathers? He looked sincere to me. Time will tell.

He stated, perhaps iterated prior, that 70-80% of AOL customers switch to @Home after they try it. Everyone talks about customer base with AOL, why is AOL scrambling so if they are so sure themselves of their future position? How many people owned gas lighting prior to electric coming along? How many still use gas for home lighting now? I reason @Home can generate tremendous market share IF they get good yardage with the ball over the next few months. Seems my memory is long enough to remember many- on and off the street- scorning AOL when it first appeared AND struggled with technicals and look where it has come.

Do you really believe @Home will become just a pipe?

Do you believe it is headed for the glue factory? Many of your posts would lead me to conclude this.

I use to read Baron's. Gave it up because it was too negative and too bearish...that was years ago. I like Lou Rukeyser because he is smart, has a broad base of 'experts' and an excellent track record with calling the market and the trend. I also like him because he has a keen wit and is optimistic even when the market is not.

I am a long term holder, not a trader and really would like to know YOUR view of ATHM as an investment, other then the technical commentary you have offered on A-Z. I am an expert with 20+ years in my profession, which is not law, mathematics or market analysis. I am an investor and do my best to be informed and get informed regarding my holdings. It is from this perspective I post.
