NO WAY. With Eatons ready to file for bankruptcy, Sears could buy them for peanuts and get a huge Cdn$ 110,000,000.00 tax credit . On the other hand, if they let Eatons go under and try to buy Hudsons Bay, the Canadian government would step in and prevent it under current anti-monopoly laws. Sears timing is off. They should have bought HBC a few months ago; now, it is too late. Pierre
