DW said (on Business Center) that he and the CFO are the only two CMGI employees compensated with @Ventures investment company stock. His defense for the practice was that it is the method that has been in place since the first @Ventures investment was made, and CMGI shareholders who have been around since then have received $200 for every $1 invested at that time (and should have no complaints about their return).

The remainder of the interview was fairly general in nature. DW did say, when questioned about the business plan, that it is not changing. CMGI will remain primarily in Internet venture capital company, as opposed to an operating firm.
