to top all that, E*Trade could be profitable tomorrow if they wanted to.
when Citibank and Merrill want to know what the future of finance in the internet age might look like, they read ETrade's press releases.
this is definitely the bluest of the blue chips in the internet space, if i had to place only 1 bet in the future of the internet, i would just buy tons and tons of EGRP shares, not AMZN, not YHOO, not AOL, not CMGI, not EBAY.
the only drawback i see, is that, being a financial stock, it is affected the most by the ups and downs of the market.
