Some Conference Call highlights from Tom Merideth: -EMC is buying Data General (DG), a DELL partner, however DELL's deal with DG was structured to provide for a transfer of ownership. -Operating expenses stayed flat at 10.7% despite adding 3100 new people to the payroll this quarter. -Phase 1 of the Internet strategy complete. DELLTalk has 120,000 registered members. 95% of DELL's supply chain dollars flows through the Internet. -Phase 2 of the Internet strategy will focus on delivering web content to customers.
