I am not a NXTL expert, but I have been researching the company well over a couple years and have a researcher friend I went to high school with back East who's sector IS the wireless who's brain I have been picking for ideas.....

I believe NXTL is STILL undervalued especially in comparison with Sprint and AirTouch. They are the last major independent with a nationwide footprint and secured licenses in many important markets. They also have nice hardware products (two way pager phones and soon to be Internet phones) and nice working relationships with Motorola among others.

However, a company is only as strong as their management and board goes, and Nextels is certainly no exception with the McCaws holding a major interest. Craig Mc Caw is labelled the father of wireless by some and his ingenouity and leadership backed by his ability to secure finances is unparalleled.

Technically speaking, just one look at the chart and you are sold on NXTL. Analysts have come out with glowing reports recently with targets anywhere from $55 to $80 a share depending on what happens with Nextels ability to acquire more airwaves.

Nextel is also a takeover candidate (WCOM, Large European) but the price will be in excess of $70 in my opinion (well over).

Lastly, Nextel is just one of those "gut" feelings I have that it will do well. I was invested in Airtouch when they were acquired and have held PCS and other wireless stocks with much positive results.

I am no longer trading NXTL unless thier projected future changes or something drastic changes my outlook.

My Own Opinion...You would be best to do your own research.

Jane:-)
