Very intriguing indeed!

It seems that if "flying machines" did not exist in the days of ancient Egypt, the ancient Egyptians somehow had visions of them. But how?

Did the Rosetta stone not serve as key for the interpretation of the hieroglyphs at Abydos? It will certainly be interesting to see what light they shed on those flying machines glyphs!

By the way, in the Ramayana epic (~1000 B.C.) of India, references were made to flying "vimanas" or flying chariots which were seemingly equipped with laser-like weapons and mini-nukes.

And, closer to our time, Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) sketched images of flying machines, a submarine (and a parachute). Again, what was it that enabled him to envision the machines of the future? Was it a certain gnosis that could be awakened in man? Or was he just being extremely "lucky" in his imagination. Or was he somehow prompted from without? And could it be that Jules Verne's ideas were mere extrapolations from Leonardo's visions?
