There is no way to assure a reporter does not screw something up. We used to ask to record or tell the person we were recording and also have another person present in the room, introducing the person, and using a speaker phone. Then we would ask for a rough draft with the right to correct it. They did not always promise to send one. Ten years later I still remember the name of a WSJ reporter that misrepresented what we were doing, even though we had taken all these precautions. Does, Sonofa Bitch, ring a bell? Think he still writes for them. There is no way XOMA can tell anyone outside of XOMA if the data was statistically significant. Again we also do not know what level of significance the FDA will find acceptable for meningococcemia.
