It might be useful to develop an Classic SI Bible along with the aforementioned user manual, since much of what has happened on this thread recently can only be understood in this context.

Among the sections to be developed:

Hagiography of the design:
Section will tell the story of the divine inspiration of the original design. Will make it clear why it should not be altered. Special attention should be paid to the gnostic significance of the pastel easter-egg colors of yellow, baby blue, pea green. It will become clear that gray can be used only within the aforementioned palette.

Ritual mouse movement:
Section will elucidate the importance of broad, sweeping mouse movements that force the hand to trace a wide arc across the page to accomplish even the most simple and repetitive of tasks.

Secret passages:
Ritual tunnels that move one from one place to another -- but only to those graced with knowledge of their existence -- will be hinted at, but not revealed.

The meditative significance of proper concentration:
This section will point out that the visual hot-spot of a classic page is all the way at its bottom, far what the uninitiated might consider the "most important" section of the page -- the message. Will explain why that dark, bright blue "StockTalk" box all the way at the bottom tries to draw the eye away, forcing the eye to resist and concentrate on keeping itself from the temptation of the blue blot.
