Now about BLTI...
I have spoken with them and this is what I learned. The laser brush
is a manual toothbrush which has a battery. The battery powers a light of some sort. This light, when shone upon a tooth which has had BLTI's toothpaste/gel applied to it, will show where the plaque(dirt) is. Apparently there is something in the gel which stains plaque(kind
of like those pink tablets that we chewed as kids). The light from the brush causes it to illuminate and hence enable you to better clean your teeth. Additionally they have something else in it to also lighten teeth. Sounds like a really nice idea. It should do well
however mechanical toothbrushes are passe. If this were an electronic toothbrush(like ORAL_B BRAUN or Sonicare) then they would really have something. Guess what? They haven't publisized it yet but they are working on it. That will be an incredible device. Everyone will recommend it, especially to patients who have gingivitis(that's just about everyone), kids, people who get lots of cavities... you get the idea. With this news, I think I will buy some more. Also, the market tumbled 2 days in a row and BLTI goes up!
They are not sure when it will be released, or they just are not saying.
The hard tissue laser... They are working on FDA approval but also are not saying when approval could come. They are going to fax me some info. If pertinent, I wll post it. Robert
