Could not agree more. One could argue that LU is at fault. As a wcom shareholder, I believe that the ultimate responsibility for the failure lies with wcom. It appears that had they properly tested and documented the installation, this problem could have been resolved with no network down time. My opinion is that Mr. Ebbers statements to the effect that the root cause is the LU software is a public relations error at best, or a sobering look at the true character of this man as a leader at worst.

Hopefully at some point in the near future, he will recant, accept full responsibility, take corrective action to prevent similar failures, and resolve all issues with disgruntled customers. This type of reaction would better fit the Ebbers' public persona of a religious man of great character that is so often touted in the media.

Of course all IMHO.
