Steve, I not too long ago posted message [#1641] here in the GG/ASAP Thread which addresses the "Future I/O" and other emerging standards that will begin to impact on this space in the not too distant future.

I see this as being increasingly significant due to the emergence of new forms of
WAN-based dark fiber, and their DWDM-based lambda derivatives - both from a
total throughput perspective and for their networkability.

Do you or others here have any thoughts about FI/O and how it will affect
the fortunes of any particular company? Brocade? Ancor?
